Well its been a long time coming but I have finally updated the hotspots lists provided by Optus, Telstra, Azure and Internode. There have been a total of 210 new hotspots added since my last update a few months back with the majority of new hotspots in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. I shall now work on the other wireless providers and remember if I dont have a hotspot listed please feel free to send it in.
These wifi hotspots should benifit the newly aquired iPhone users with Optus and Telstra providing free access to any of their wifi hotspots. I am unsure if roaming onto Azure is included for the Optus guys but given the number of Azure hotspots I have to now remove from the Free Wireless Hotspot Directory its not looking good. They have decomishined a massive 256 hotpsots around the country I can only hope the guys like Tomizone and Internode can push to fill those holes.
Also coming soon is an update to the site (yes I know its been coming forever) which will give a new look and feel that should make browsing for your hotspot much easier. So stay tuned and please if you find a spot not listed let me know or register on the site and add it in yourself.

Free wi-fi internet will be available across City of Sydney libraries after nearly 1,000 people took advantage of the program during a successful five-week trial, Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP announced today.
"The libraries have received a lot of positive feedback, especially from younger people now visiting the libraries. We hope that providing free wireless internet will encourage more people to visit the wonderful library facilities on offer throughout the City," she said.
